Important information for AGM, 23 November 2021

New board members – for vote at the AGM

There’s a big change coming to the CFA Society NZ board at the upcoming AGM.   I will term out this year having reached the maximum nine years as a board director.  Also leaving are Paul Richardson, Jim McElwain, Simon O’Grady (earlier in this year).

The CFA Society New Zealand nominations committee has selected the following slate to be voted onto the board as directors by Regular Members at the AGM on 23 November 2021:

  1. John Horrell, CFA Consultant – Makao Investments
  2. Philip Houghton-Brown, CFA Head of Investment Solutions – BT Funds Management (NZ) Limited
  3. Stuart Millar, CFA CIO, Smartshares Limited – NZX
  4. Shane Solly, CFA  Director, Portfolio Manager, Research Analyst – Harbour Asset Management
  5. Kristen Yong, CFA  Investment Performance and Risk Manager – Milford

I am very excited about the new skills, ideas and energy these five will bring to the leadership of the society.  They will join remaining board members: Karen Chang, David Kandziora, Chelsea Leadbetter, Christina Leung, Eric Wei.

Proposed changes to CFA Society New Zealand Incorporated Rules

Please find the proposed amendments to the CFA Society New Zealand Rules to be voted on.

Here is a summary.  Changes are in red.

4  MEETINGS OF THE MEMBERS
