We’re very pleased to be running our mentoring programme for the second time.
The programme got off to a great start in 2022 and we’re incredibly thankful to those involved, particularly the mentors.
The initiative aims to:
- Assist career development
- Raise professional standards
- Further develop New Zealand’s CFA community.
The programme is relatively informal in nature, and the mentees are tasked with leading communications and organisation with their mentor. Read more in the links below.

As a mentor, your advice to those early in their career is extremely valuable. You are encouraged to share career experiences and financial knowledge, be a role model for best practices, and be a sounding board for ideas.

Mentors should be a society member with experience in the finance profession, 8+ years is recommended.

MENTEES
Mentees will have the opportunity to learn from professionals in New Zealand’s CFA community.

We welcome applications from people with 2+ years in the finance profession. You must also be a society member (regular member or an Associate member).

Applications close: 18 September 2023
Commitment: One year – Sept 2023 to Sept 2024. Estimated total time of 20 hours. This includes:
- Attend an orientation meeting.
- Six meetings between mentor/mentee.
- Feedback to the society by completing a survey
Our ability to match mentors and mentees will depend on the applications received. Resources will be provided to everyone on the programme.
