About Patrick Nugent & DGA
Established in 1990, DGA specialises in banking and finance and has extensive preferred supplier arrangements with major domestic and international institutions in New Zealand including major banks, advisory firms, fund managers, investment banks and wealth specialists.
Patrick Nugent’s background includes several years of banking product and management roles across the UK, Europe and Australia. His first role in New Zealand was a client facing management role within the funds management sector. He focuses on senior search assignments. Patrick joined DGA in January 2007.
He is an Adviser in the Portfolio Management team at the Financial Markets Department in the Reserve Bank. He has a diverse experience in financial markets industry – previous to his current role he worked as a manager in funding & liquidity team at ASB bank, valuation controller in HSBC UK and others.
Blake Etheridge-Yan, CFA
Blake is an Adviser in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s Portfolio Management team. Portfolio Management is responsible for implementing monetary policy which includes managing New Zealand dollar liquidity and the Bank’s foreign reserves. In addition the team is charged with preserving and enhancing the value of the RBNZ balance sheet through their portfolio management activities. Before joining the Bank in 2020 Blake spent 11 years working in a variety of banking roles including treasury, portfolio management and finance in both London and New Zealand.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Auckland, is an accredited member of NZFMA, certified member of INFINZ and a CFA charterholder.
